A few weeks ago, I was looking for a good hair removal cream that would be great for my dry skin! After searching for one! I came across the veet hair removal gel cream. So after researching online, I went to my local drugstore and I asked the cosmetician that worked there if she knows what was the best on the market. Well after talking and listening to what she knows about this product, she recommended the veet for my poor dry legs.
After having sitting in my bathroom cabinet, I finally used it for the very first time, I fallowed the instructions on the back of the box and it said to test it out a small portion on your skin 24 hours before use.
I tested this cream on a patch on my leg 24 hours before doing the whole of both my legs, everything went fine and I came across no problems. The next day I did both of my legs and it gave me rash a hour after and it removed a small portion of skin I was done, which it started burning and hurting like crazy. The rash was so discussed and painful that I looked online to see what I can do to help my skin heal and I also called “Québec info santé” and they both told me to use peroxide cream so it prevents infection and from it getting worse. (photos of the rash is at the end of this blog post)
The second disadvantage was that the plastic applicator was hard to use to apply and remove the product because it would take longer to remove the product then it would to apply it so after trying a couple strokes to remove the product with the plastic applicator, I took an old face cloth and used that instead, which it worked a lot better.
I hope that this review was helpful and if you have any questions, please feel free to leave it in the comments below!
holy cow! that is crazy! but not only did it leave a horrible rash, it is also toxic to your body (probably hence the rash!) and the packaging is non recycleable! So it’s bad on every level!
@Nicole- Yup it is crazy! That’s why I am not going to re-buy this product because I got a really bad reaction (hence the rash). Well on the packaging it did state that is was recyclable (which, I am not too sure about that)

please help me…!!!!
Hi! Thank you for stopping by my blog!!
The cream that I used on my rash was an antibiotic cream that I got from my local drug store! I hope that this helped you in anyway! the only thing i’ll recommend is when you go get the cream to make sure to speak to the pharmacist that is there, to make sure that there is nothing that you are allergic to and if you are, they would be the best one to recommend an alternative for that!
hey!
sorry to disturb again!
well after the application of the antibiotic cream, did u have any scars left behind????and could tell me the name of the antibiotic cream you used???
m really worried about my arm……
by the way, thanx a lot for the early reply:)
Hi there again!
The cream that I used was the personalle(no name brand) antibiotic cream… if you cant find that one, I did a quick research on and i found 2 of them that were identical to the one i used. They are; 1) Neosporin – antibiotic cream. 2) Rite Aid – antibiotic cream.
I did not had no scars left behind and it healed in a matter of 3-4 days. I hope this helps you and if you have any more question, just ask me and i’ll try my best to answer you as much as I can!
I’m freaking out and very worried. Im a guy and I used veet on my thighs, private, and butt. I don’t have a rash any where but on my butt cheeks. What do I do? It is on my entire butt cheek. The rash didn’t show up until 3-7 days after use. Please help me!
Jordan, As you said it showed up only 3-7 days later, it can be cased by diffrent things that you might be using; either your body wash or the veet that you just used. I would not worry to much, just don’t use veet again as it does not suite you one bit, also keep a close eye on your rash so it does not get worse with time. However if the rash gets worse, I would recomand that you go see a doctor as soon as posible as it might be something totally diffrent then just a rash.
I also having a same problem. Did you find any problem solution ? If yes then please write me. This would be great help for me.
what I did was simple, I just stop using the product that caused the rash and put on an antibiotic cream to help it heal faster and not get infected. Hope this helps you and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask me!!
I regret using this for the same reason, I’m a guy and I used some on my butt which is embarrassingly very hairy, but it came out in that same looking rash and has been like this for weeks, thinking I should go Tina doctor about it now :s
Hey.. I need a nice hair removal cream for Bikini Area. Urgent..!!
Have a night with my man.. Please help.
I would recommend, either shaving or waxing (which ever you feel more comfortable with). Reason being is because; hair removal creams have quite a few chemical ingredients in it that I would not recommend putting on that area.
hell yea, same issue. I used Veet on my back 10 days ago. had some itchy feeling the same day and that continued for the next four days. after that i started developing rashes after 5 days or so and blister like conditions with puss on some of them. it became incrementally worse each passing day and seems to have peaked as of today (10th day). very very similar to what is in the picture of the original post. i was so concerned that the rash could mean some thing else. but reading Jordan’s post, I am convinced that this is due to Veet.
